Applications are open for our expanded Postgraduate Internship Awards (PIA) program, which now offers up to four student internships per round and placements at any of our nine facilities around Australia.
Applications are open for the next round of APPN Postgraduate Internship Awards (PIA).
The expanded PIA program now offers up to four internships per round, with placements available at any of our nine facilities around Australia.
Each award includes up to $10,000 worth of phenotyping infrastructure access, plus the career-defining opportunity to work alongside APPN’s expert staff to learn about phenotyping technologies, techniques and experiment design.
Support for travel and accommodation of up to $2,000 is also available, if required.
Motivated, research-oriented students are encouraged to work with their supervisors and collaborate with their APPN Node of interest to prepare an application.
Assessment is a merit-based processed centred on the following priority research areas:
- Tolerance to abiotic stress
- Improving resource use efficiency in plants
- Statistics and biometry
- Application of mechatronic engineering to plant phenotyping
- Application of image analysis techniques to understand plant form and function
However, students proposing to study other topics will also be considered.
