The Organising Committee of the VII International Symposium on Almonds and Pistachios is very pleased to invite you to attend this event, which aims to strengthen international cooperation and collaboration in these two important crops for human health and food. The symposium will be held in the city of Adelaide, South Australia between 5 – 9 November 2017 under the aegis of the International Society for Horticultural Science. Australia is the second largest almond producing nation and South Australia was the birthplace of the Australian almond industry. The long-term almond breeding program being overseen at the University of Adelaide, in collaboration with the Almond Board of Australia and Horticulture Australia, is making a significant contribution to Australia’s almond producing capacity and market success. The Almond Board and Horticulture Australia have many other research projects underway, making Australia the perfect venue to allow experts from Australia and the rest of the world share knowledge and best practices to advance the industry both in Australia and abroad.
